Mobile number portability, or MNP, enables you to keep your mobile number even when you switch networks or change your subscription between postpaid and prepaid plans—free of charge!

MNP promotes your welfare by allowing you to choose your provider based on quality, price, and other factors without having to change your mobile number when switching service providers.

No! As stated in Republic Act 11202, the porting process is free of charge for you.

You can request to port your number once every 60 days, as the law specifies.

There are two types of porting you can choose from:

  1. Internal Porting: Switching within your current network, such as:

    • Postpaid to Prepaid

    • Prepaid to Postpaid

  2. External Porting: Bringing your number from your current network to a different one, called the originating network, and vice versa to the receiving network.

Globe launched its internal porting last April 21. To port within our network, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • An active SIM or mobile number

  • No remaining balances or financial obligations from your previous postpaid bill

  • No porting requests made in the last 60 days

  • No record of fraudulent activity

You can request internal porting via the GlobeOne app.

Starting September 30, 2021, you can keep your mobile number while switching networks. To port your number to Globe, you need to meet these criteria:

  • An active mobile number

  • Your mobile number shouldn't be part of a bundled service or product

  • No pending request for transfer of ownership of your mobile subscription

  • No other accounts linked to your mobile number

  • No porting requests made in the last 60 days

  • No fraudulent activity

  • No remaining balances or financial obligations from your previous postpaid bill

  • Your mobile number must not be locked with Globe

  • Your mobile number must not be under any NTC, court, or law prohibition

Some basic requirements include:

  • A valid Unique Subscriber Code (USC) from your existing network provider

  • A government-issued ID

  • Proof of ownership of your mobile number

The Unique Subscriber Code, or USC, is a 9-digit code you can request via text from your current network provider. This code checks your eligibility for switching and is valid for 15 days from the date of issuance.

All your current subscriptions, including prepaid load balance, rolled-over data, Value-Added Services (VAS), and other add-ons, will automatically expire once your MNP application is approved and activated.

If you're a non-Globe customer, you'll need to inquire about switching through your network's customer care channels. Make sure you have a valid 9-digit Unique Subscriber Code (USC) from your existing network.

Once you have your 9-digit USC, you can apply to switch to Globe through the following channels:

For Individual Postpaid Accounts:

  1. Book an appointment at or visit a Globe store

  2. Request it through a Platinum Relationship Manager

For Individual Prepaid Accounts:

  1. Request it via Globe Online

For Business Accounts:

  1. Request it via Globe Business Online

  2. Request it through your Account Manager

We needed a service provider with the right skills to handle the complicated process of porting services. All the major telecom companies—Globe, PLDT/Smart, and Dito—decided together to partner with Syniverse Technologies, with support from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).

Syniverse will act as the bridge between Globe and other networks for porting.

No, you'll need to make your porting request through your original network. The entire transaction will still be managed between your current network and the receiving network.

Interconnection fees are the charges your network pays to another network to complete your calls or texts. Globe is supportive of zero interconnection fees for the benefit of our customers.

No, your porting request should still be made to your original network. The entire transaction will be handled between your current network and the recipient network.
