If you’re roaming and receiving multiple or incorrect welcome notifications for a different country, this may be due to your device picking up signals from nearby locations as you travel.

This commonly happens when:

• Your flight passes over multiple countries, causing your device to connect to different networks along the way.

• You are near territorial borders where mobile signals from neighboring countries overlap.

   

This is more frequent in regions with closely situated countries, such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Receiving multiple or incorrect welcome messages does not impact your roaming experience or local connectivity if you’ve already returned home.

To avoid unnecessary network switches during transit:

• Enable Airplane Mode while on a flight to prevent your phone from connecting to different networks.

• If you’re near a border, manually select your preferred roaming network in your phone settings to stay connected to the correct service provider.
